Most people go their entire careers never really knowing what a SysAdmin actually does. You may see them scurrying to and fro throughout the day, you may even have the occasional friendly chat with one. But do you have any idea what they do when you don't see them?
Many people would answer that they break things. Sure, there is a bit of that, but most of the time they are busy making sure things don't break, or fixing things that have already broken. I would estimate that less than 10% of issues are actually caused by SysAdmins (well the ones that know what they're doing anyway), with the remaining 90% or so being caused by something a vendor, or a user did.
Don't believe me? Take a look around the site, and I'll spin it for you quick.

Well I finally got around to redesigning the site. If you don't like it, tough - I designed and wrote this site from scratch using only xhtml and CSS (if you can do better I'm always up for suggestions).
I thought this would be an intersting challenge, as most websites use javascript for a few things. Personally I think that's cheating. While doing the entire site using xhtml and CSS goes against the L.A.O.A.E. principle, it was something that I wanted to prove could be done by someone with very limited knowledge of web design (me).
I've combined what started out as four or five different blogs into a coherent website. SysAdmins will find the L.A.O.A.E and the Script-IT pages most useful. The Projects page is a showcase of some of the work I do, and some of the more unusual challenges that SysAdmins will face from time to time.
